G.B.I.E. is pleased to make several announcements which pertain to REACh.
G.B.I.E. announces the formation of G.B.I.E. GmbH, our new European entity. The new entity provides several advantages. The most important for our European customers is that G.B.I.E. GmbH will be the importer of record which relieves our customers of the burden that “importer of record” means under REACh. As of December 1, 2008, G.B.I.E. GmbH is the European importer of record of all SLIP-COAT products.
Furthermore, G.B.I.E. announces that all SLIP-COAT products are REACh compliant. All substances (including monomers) found in all G.B.I.E. SLIP-COAT Part A and Crosslinker products have been pre-registered by G.B.I.E. GmbH or have been confirmed in writing to have been pre-registered by our suppliers. This includes all G.B.I.E. SLIP-COAT grades, even those not currently sold in the European Union. Thus, our European customers will continue to have access to all grades of G.B.I.E. SLIP-COAT.
Lastly, G.B.I.E. has confirmed that there are no substances of very high concern (SVHC) in our products. We will monitor the SVHC list for changes and will confirm in writing the status of any additions to the list with respect to our products.
